About us, Mid Michigan Tax Service was started by Nellie Vriese in 1984, but was preparing taxes before that time when she lived in New York State. Nellie entised me to become a preparer and have since taken over the business under Mid Michigan Tax Services LLC and moved the practice to 433 Union St Ionia, MI 48846 where we are approaching our 4th season at this location.
I became an Enrolled Agent in 2006 Enrolled Agents are 1 of 4 groups that can practice before the IRS representing all taxpayers. Un-Enrolled preparers are only allowed to represent taxpayers whom they have prepared the return and the amount of taxpayer representation can be limited before the IRS Enrolled Agents are required to have at least 24 Hours of education each year along with 2 hours of Ethics each year. Other preparers in the office have annual classes as well to stay abreast of the annual tax changes.
During Tax Season we take client appointments from 8am till 7:30 pm We are open till 2pm on Saturdays and Closed on Sundays. Times may vary according to the days schedule. Off season we ask you call for an appointment and don't be afraid to leave a message.
