Rita received her B.A. degree in Accounting from LaSalle University. Along with her husband, she moved to southern Caifornia in 1963. It was here that she and her husband started their bookkeeping and tax business. Uon his death in 1983, she became the owner of RiCo Business and Financial Services. Rita has been practicing in the field of taxation for the past 30 years, specializing in corporate and tax-exempt taxation as well as individual tax returns. She has been a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals for the past 16 years and has served as a Board member of the California Chapter for 9 years, as Secretary, Vice-President and President. She has served on the Western Area Stakeholder Council of the Internal Revenue Service for over 10 years and is a presenter at seminars conductd by various professional organizations. She has served as a volunteer trainer for the V.I.T.A. and T.C.E. programs for the Internal Revenue Service. In addition, she serves a number of non-profit organizations, either as a board member or as an advisor.
Rita has 3 children as well as 3 grandchildren and has been a mentor to a number of young adults.
