Born and raised in New York City (Queens), I joined the Navy after high school. I got married to a fellow sailor, had children and then went to college at night under the GI Bill. I am now a CPA and have been working in the accounting/tax field for over 30 years! As a Navy veteran, I am still proud of my fellow servicemen, and still have the same discipline and work ethics I learned.
After caring for my disabled veteran husband, he passed away in 2014. After settling my mother’s and husband’s estates over the past several years, my focus and interests lie in the probate and estate administration areas. This can be a very confusing, time-consuming period while you also deal with your grief.
When you are named as an executor, you feel proud that this person has trusted you with their finals wishes. But then, it is time to settle their affairs and your first thought is "now what do I do?
