I got my start in tax preparation by taking H&R Block's excellent income tax course. I then accepted their offer of a position as a tax preparer in Cookeville, TN, working there for four tax seasons, from 2007 through 2010. From 2011 through spring of 2014, I ran a small tax preparation service from my home in rural Overton County, TN. In the summer of 2014, our family relocated to Elkton, VA.
